They use FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified 8500 tons of paper packaging every year in Taiwan alone.
Mcdonalds introduced paper bag-tray packaging in 2015 which was designed to reduce the usage of plastic along with being user friendly.

Apple replaced its petroleum-based plastic trays with fiber-based paper trays in the iPhone 7 box.
This change led to an 84% drop in plastic usage in iPhone 7 as compared to their previous iPhone packaging. The company also made a saving on logistics by reducing the size of packaging.
