They replaced their plastic carry bags with canvas bags. 

Plastic bubble wrap is replaced with recyclable paper inside the cartons. Paper is a superior  replacement for plastic bubble wrap to provide durability while transporting and handling of prodcuts. 

Shrink wrapping film usage was put to an end as well. 

In order to put a stronger hold on their existing plastic needs, they introduced an offer for the customers.They launched an offer to bring back any five empty bottles of forest essentials products, and in return customers can pick any one 50ml sample from their travel minis, as a complimentary gift. 

This smart tactic helped Forest essentials to reduce plastic usage and led to increase in customers.

Nykaa has sought help from their customers to help them recycle a large portion of their plastic junk. The customers are provided with three options through which they can help. 

  • Drop the plastic junk at designated municipal bins.

  • Send it to Nykaa warehouse. 

 

Nykaa is also cutting their plastic usage by using reusable and degradable outer packaging for their soaps.
